This 1973 Holden HQ GTS Tribute is the perfect blend of classic Australian muscle and modern LS power. Every inch of this car has been meticulously crafted, from its bare metal rotisserie restoration to its professionally built 416ci stroker, delivering an incredible 650 horsepower.
At the heart of the build is a Glen Wells built LS3 stroked to 416ci, featuring Higgins CNC cylinder heads, a forged crankshaft, CP Bullet pistons, a hydraulic roller Kelford camshaft, and 12:1 compression. Breathing through a Holley EFI intake manifold with a Wilson throttle body and finished with Shaun's Custom billet rocker covers and accessories, this engine offers serious performance while retaining factory ECU reliability.Backing up the power is a full manual Turbo 400 transmission with a two piece case and a 5500rpm SDE converter, sending power to a bulletproof 9 inch diff equipped with a Truetrac centre, 3.7 gears and 31 spline billet axles.
The chassis has been built to match the performance, featuring coilover suspension on all four corners, Wilwood disc brakes front and rear, and a custom exhaust system with Rod Shop 4 into 1 ceramic coated extractors flowing into a twin 3 inch stainless steel exhaust with high flow cats.
Rolling on 15x8 Weld V Series rear wheels wrapped in 275/60R15 tyres and 17x4.5 Rod Shop front wheels, this HQ has the perfect combination of classic muscle styling and modern street machine attitude.
